The iconic ginkgo has changed little over the millennia and is one of the ancient plant species considered by Charles Darwin to be a “living fossil”. For this vase, the Ephraim artists developed a new glaze combination to highlight the three hand-sculpted ginkgo leaves meeting the rim of a low, wide form. Orange and yellow leaves stand out against a rich blue-green crystalline glaze with a black crackle finish.
