One of Gordon Stennett's most complex and intriguing wood sculptures is the Wood Duck, also known as the Carolina Duck. This waterfowl has a unique shape among ducks—a boxy, crested head, a thin neck, and a long, broad tail. In addition, it is one of the most colorful North American waterfowl.
